Tallahassee-Leon County Nonprofit Services Grant Program

Closed for new applications

Eligible nonprofits may receive up to $20,000 of one-time assistance to provide human services and/or programming to Leon County residents impacted by COVID-19. Only 501c3 or 501c19 organizations are eligible to apply. 

Due to the overwhelming number of applications for the Tallahassee-Leon County Nonprofit Services Grant Program, the application window is closed as of Monday, August 9th, 2021, at 5 p.m. Complete applications must be submitted prior to the close of the application window to be considered for funding. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Caring for Lives and Livelihoods of Those Impacted by COVID-19

Through the Leon CARES program, Leon County Government successfully leveraged over $138 million in federal funding in 2020-21 to address the community’s greatest needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. EMS Star Icon Leon County EMS responded to 12,654 COVID-19 calls

 

Testing Icon

Increased community-wide testing and testing access with 50+ additional mobile events serving 3,400 residents throughout the community (Through these and other community efforts, the community now tests approximately 2,000/day, ten times the state-recommended average.)

 

EMS Star Icon $6.7 million allocated to strengthen public health operations related to COVID-19, including the hiring of 93 additional public health personnel
EMS Star Icon The Board has approved $1 million to launch the largest public information campaign in County history to inform and educate the community on public health information and vaccines; 26 million times seen, read or heard
